On the first day of your last course in the program you are eligible to apply for graduation.
All students must apply for graduation through their Student Center in ConnectCarolina. From the drop-down list in the Student Center, select “Apply for Graduation” for the appropriate term and follow the directions to confirm all program and personal information. If you do not see the “Apply for Graduation” link, please email our office.
Also, please make sure that your student record is complete and accurate in your ConnectCarolina Student Center. To check your information as it appears on your student record, log in to view your ConnectCarolina student information. Your certificate will be printed with your full legal name and will be mailed to the home address listed in your ConnectCarolina account.
Save the date: The School of Media and Journalism celebrates certificate graduates each year with Spring commencement, which is held in May. More details will be emailed to you in the spring. For information regarding the University’s commencement ceremony visit commencement.unc.edu.
Certificates are ordered after commencement each semester and mailed to each graduate’s home address (as listed in ConnectCarolina) via USPS.
